WAMC President’s Update & Upcoming Concerts
The Wednesday Afternoon Musical Club is back!! This is Joanne Kant, your new President speaking! We are well on our way to putting the uncertainty of the last two years behind us and starting to celebrate the healing power of music. During the pandemic your Board has been meeting regularly to keep WAMC alive. We have continued to support our two scholarship winners, Kate Wegener, oboist at Julliard and Michael Kalinin, organ study major at UCONN. Kate is going on to get her Master’s at Julliard and Michael is continuing his undergraduate studies after a semester hiatus. We are hoping at the Winter Scholarship Winner’s Concert in January to be able to feature Felix Jarrar who has been busy composing and accompanying young singers.
